RLEDC is a volunteer organization that works with existing industries, potential companies looking to expand or relocate; start-up companies that wish to explore the benefits of Rice Lake or Barron County. Over its 40+ year existence, we have been very successful in attracting diversified business and assisting existing industrial and technology companies.


RLEDC is a primary contact for new industries wishing to relocate to Rice Lake, and for existing businesses support. We are the City of Rice Lake’s agent in the sale of City owned industrial and technology park properties. Our mission is to assist the City of Rice Lake in retaining existing and attracting new industrial businesses that will provide good-paying jobs, improve the City’s tax base and attract a talented workforce to the community.
