Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College—(WITC)

WITC, ranked as number 4 in two year colleges in the U.S., provides a multitude of degrees in many fields. In addition, the College provides customized training for Companies, on-site or at the College.

University of Wisconsin—Barron County—(UW-BC)

UW-BC is a two year college, and offers certain four year degrees. The two year degrees offered cover many diverse subjects. In addition, the College has a Community Education Department, which among other courses, offers professional and job training, which can be customized for your organizational needs.

Rice Lake Area School District—(K-12)—(District)

The RLSD provides education from 4 year kindergarten to grade 12. The District has 3 elementary sites, (k-4, with 18 students/class, or less), 1 middle school, (5-8) and 1 high school (9-12), together with a charter school(9-12), Northern Lakes Regional Academy. In addition, the District has a gifted and talented program, together with collaboration with UW-BC in their Advanced Placement Program, so students can earn credits at the college level. The District serves 2,320 students, in an area of 840 square miles. In November 2013, a $20 million referendum was successfully to improve the elementary, middle, and high schools.

The District offers a variety of extra-curricular opportunities from team sports and conservation to music and theater, and many other areas of interest.

2012 the District’s Charter school, Northern Lakes Regional Academy, which offers a student driven approach to individualized and specific learning interests in earning their degree.
